I've been a used book buyer in a couple different bookstores on a couple different coasts of the United States over the last few years and I have a lot of opinions about books. If we cut straight to the bone, this blog is pretty much just me attempting to justify hating popular things and liking obscure or difficult things- except in cases where I like popular things solely to be contrary, or hate less popular things because they're relatively popular among people who hate popular things or, worse, enjoy popular things ironically.
ie HIGH SCHOOL NEVER ENDS
I'm not kidding about the Kathy Acker thing. She's the only author I know who consistently makes me feel like I could punch a cop in the face and get away with it, which pretty much is the feeling I'm looking for when I read. I guess I get it from Dennis Cooper sometimes, too.
